SPARE PARTS

GREAT COMFORT FOR LONG DISTANCE CRUISING

She may be ordered with comfort equipment such as washing machine, generator or watermaker. The layout offers much storage and provides excellent comfort. By using the space in the cockpit coaming, she even offers headroom in the walk through to the aft cabin. There is a separate shower with plexi glass doors in the heads compartment. This interior allows for some special solutions like the famous Hallberg-Rassy Armchairs in the saloon. This feature was introduced by Hallberg-Rassy as the first boatyard in the world already in 1984. The saloon is also available with traditional settees.

EASY ACCESS, EASY MAINTENANCE, GOOD SOUND INSULATION

Technical equipment is installed in the huge engine room. There you find gear such as main engine, gen set, pumps, filters, charger, inverter, a spare propeller and a lot more. That allows for easy access, easy maintenance and good sound insulation. Main inspection doors are to the starboard side, but there are also additional access from the front and from the floor in the cockpit locker. The floor in the cockpit is bolted in place, so that the engine may be lifted out the same way it came in. Hallberg-Rassy boats are sailed actively and intensively for a very long time. Sooner or later parts need to be replaced such as engine or tanks. Then it is good to know that those parts may be taken out the same way they got in; through natural openings of the boat. That is what you need on a Blue Water Cruiser.

AWARD WINNING AROUND THE WORLD

The Hallberg-Rassy 40 has won no less than four attractive awards:

  • She was presented European Yacht of the Year in the largest category 2002
  • Overall winner in Boat of the Year in USA 2004
  • Best Liveaboard cruising boat in USA 2004
  • Sailboat of the Show in Stockholm 2002

The sailboat of the show jury said:
“The Hallberg-Rassy 40 is a long distance cruiser of highest quality from the Swedish island Orust. The boat is the result of the yard’s long experience in boatbuilding. This has in the Hallberg-Rassy 40 been further developed to a discrete elegance. Without looking at trends, this is a modern yacht built to highest standards in respect of equipment and comfort.”

QUOTES FROM YACHTING MAGAZINES

SwissBoat/Yachting from Switzerland says:
“With the new 40 Hallberg-Rassy has exceeded their own high level. This boat is the new measure in her class. The test crew seldom use so many superlatives, but we rarely had reason to do so either. The Hallberg-Rassy 40 is well thought out, safe, solidly built, fast and elegant – simply just good!"

QUOTES FROM YACHTING MAGAZINES

Hallberg-Rassy 40, Cruising World, USA:
"I´d be proud to row away from this yacht."

QUOTES FROM YACHTING MAGAZINES

Båtnytt, Sweden, issue 6/2008. Six 40 footers on test: “The Hallberg-Rassy 40 is more solid than most other boats. For those who give prior to performance it might be interesting to know that all six boats tested performed well. The polar diagrams of the boats with theoretical tacking angle and speed calculated
by the designers show what is valid during perfect conditions. Statistics by all means but in the reality Hallberg-Rassy 40 was superior that day when we had a gale. In the gale Hallberg-Rassy 40 showed minimal drift and good speed. Germán Frers has an eye for beautiful lines. Inside she is an icon for the
finest of craftsmanship.”
