SMALL ENOUGH, YET BIG ENOUGH TO GO ANYWHERE, ANY TIME
Hallberg-Rassy 36 was built during 1989 - 2003. A total of 602 hulls were built. Boat No 1-256 from 1989-1994 were the Mark I, No 257-602 from 1994-2003 were the Mark II. Hallberg-Rassy 36 Mk I doesn't have a retroussé transom with integrated swim platform and the developed shape like the Mk II has. The Mk I has a more narrow transom above the waterline and more narrrow superstructure and walkdecks aft than the Mk II. Amidships and forward, the boats remained the same. The wide blue brim in the hull is 5 cm wider on the Mk I. The under-water shape, keel, rudder and rig remained the same. About 23 of the first hulls were made without rubbing strake integrated in the hull.
