THE improved HALLBERG-RASSY44 Mk II, sailing August 2026

The Hallberg-Rassy 44 was already well ahead of its time when she was introduced. Soon the improved Hallberg-Rassy 44 Mark II will be here and the first finished boat will be presented at the Open Yard 21-23 August 2026, as model year 2027. The 44 Mk II may be ordered immediately. The new version is improved on no less than 29 points:

Exterior:

  • Larger saloon superstructure portlights for more natural light
  • Larger size hull portlights
  • Hull portlights improved to tempered glass which do not scratch over time
  • Hull portlights now also in the forward cabin ps and stb
  • Improved swim platform with more comfortable aft end
  • Improved swim ladder with erected handholds above the platform when the ladder is folded out
  • Improved deck hatch in the aft cabin
  • Optional carbon in-mast furling now available
  • Optional electric under-deck lightwind-sail furler now available
  • Deck locker for storing light wind sail when not in use
  • Improved windscreen with less visible supports be-     tween tempered glass panels
  • Improved space for instruments above the sliding hatch, now allowing the new large Raymarine Alpha

Interior improvements

  • Horizontal grain in the wooden interior stretches the boat to get a wider and more roomy perception
  • Lowered bulkheads between saloon to galley and saloon to work table, for further airy feeling
  • White painted wooden hull panels in sleeping cabins
  • Invisible locking clips for white hull panels
  • Hidden technical panels, switches and fuses at work table
  • Light weight marine plywood is now partly used, which not only means less weight, but also increased torsial stiffness
  • Improved access to the storage under the soleboards in the port side galley
  • Improved access to the storage under the soleboards in the sb side cabin
  • Storage access behind the backrest to the sb side work table
  • Upgraded colour in interior superstructure skins
  • Improved more elegant installation of optional sky screens to deck hatches
