Long distance sailing lecture on 24 August at Open Yard

It is a great Hallberg-Rassy tradition to have an interesting lecture on Saturday evening at the Open Yard weekend. The lecture will be held in English by Andy Schell and Mia Karlsson.

Andy & Mia have sailed a combined 200,000+ ocean miles, 15 trans-Atlantics, and a voyage to 80º North on Svalbard, on a variety of boats. In 2015 they co-founded 59º North Sailing, which offers offshore passages for paying crew on two different boats in all oceans of the world. Andy & Mia will share stories and experiences from their ocean passages, illustrated with beautiful photos and inspiring videos. Several 59º North crew have gone on to become Hallberg-Rassy yacht owners and successful cruisers.

Application needed for the lecture

The lecture will be held on Saturday 24 August 2024 at 19.00 in the cantine up at the boatyard, at the big wooden stairs, and we will start with dinner, followed by the lecture. The menu is beef fillet, potato gratin, a choice of red wine sauce or pepper sauce, vegetables, salad and dressing. For dessert, apple cake with vanilla sauce is served. For those who do not like meat, it is possible to order fish in the form of bouillabaisse, aioli and bread.

As the number of seats to the lecture are limited and dinner with beverage will be served, we request a prepayment of tickets from you. The Saturday night lecture including dinner costs SEK 520 (roughly 47 Euros) per person. Please email Hallberg-Rassy at our contact form, and state your name, number of persons, address, mobile phone number and email address. We will then send you a pay link for your card.
