Two Hallberg-Rassys nominated for Boat of the Year in the US

29 Sept 2023

We are proud to announce that not one but two Hallberg-Rassys have been nominated for the Boat of the Year 2024 by Cruising World magazine in the USA. Both the Hallberg-Rassy 57 and the Hallberg-Rassy 40C have been nominated.

This annual award recognize and honor the best and newest sailboat models introduced to the North American market this year.

For nearly 25 years, Cruising World’s annual Boat of the Year program has been the recognized leader in inspecting, testing and rewarding the best sailboats introduced into the US market by boatbuilders the world over.  Cruising World has once again assembled a top-tier, non-biased judging panel based on their complementary backgrounds and skill sets, not to mention decades upon decades of combined experience, both in the industry and at the helm.

Over the course of nearly two weeks around the Annapolis Sail Show in Annapolis, Maryland, USA, October 12-15, 2023, both Hallberg-Rassy models will be thoroughly adjudicated by the magazine's independent panel of marine experts who all evaluate each nominee boat in two stages: dockside during the show and then in dedicated sea trials. These judges measure every spec, inspect every inch of rigging, open every electrical panel to examine the wiring behind it, scrutinize every element of construction, and question every layout option. And then they sail it.

The 2024 Boat of the Year winner will be announced in the January 2024 issue of Cruising World.
