Thor ”Putte” Horseide retired on 20 December 2024 after 32 years of faithful service laminating hulls for Hallberg-Rassy Marinplast.

Putte can recall many years ago when the weakest point at grounding was identified. A sample of a new improved lamination was developed and in order to test if the new solution was good enough, Christoph Rassy took a big sledgehammer and slammed several times as hard as he could. The laminate didn’t break, test approved!
