On October 28, 1974, at the age of 16, Sven Johansson (right) started working at Hallberg-Rassy Varvs AB.

Sven started as a joiner apprentice, putting the wooden interior together in the iconic Rasmus 35. The salary was 8 SEK per hour (around 70 Eurocents). During the years, Sven has worked as joiner and he has installed both deck fittings and interior fittings on the Hallberg-Rassy 38 and 42E. From 1994 Sven has worked in the Hallberg-Rassy marina, checking finished boats prior to delivery and putting masts and rigging together.

Every week there have been a lot of yacht deliveries. The record must have been 18 new yacht deliveries in one week.

After checking in for work an increadible 10 000 times at the yard, Sven now goes into a well-earned retirement, after exactly 50 years of faithful service at Hallberg-Rassy and received a gold watch from Magnus Rassy (left).
