Hallberg-Rassy has installed a new advanced sanding machine in the varnishing department.

The new unit replaces an older generation machine. The new robot works both more flexible and faster.

There are small wings with sandpaper and brushes to automatically sand around all corners and edges and make the wooden parts dust-free before they go on by belt into the spray varnishing machine.

The new robot is able to sand more shapes and larger sizes of pieces of wood and delivers a better sanding result than the old one. The work is more efficient and takes half the time compared to a previous sanding machine.

In addition, we get a better working environment due to significantly lower noise levels. Energy consumption is also clearly lower. The investment is around 120 KEUR.
