This is something new that doesn’t look or feel as anything new, but as a Hallberg-Rassy has always looked like. We now offer PU teak, which is a strong, flexible, solvent free, UV-proof polyurethane resin based decking and caprail system. This viscous-elastic composite material has a stylish and warm effect with a seamless and durable finish.

EcoDeck is:

• Recycable
• Machinable like wood

PU teak is made of polyurethane, which is more durable, non-skid and easier to maintain than both a PVC deck and traditional teak.

PU teak has been used for many years on superyachts and Hallberg-Rassy now has an exclusive agreement to use EcoDeck on new sailing yachts in the Nordic countries.

The first Hallberg-Rassy with all-PU teak has already been built and will be exhibited at the Orust Sailboat Show with Open Yard/Öppet Varv in Ellös in the Hallberg-Rassy marina 26-28 August 2022.

Traditional teak deck and teak caprail are still available as an option.
