Carbon in-mast furling now also for the 44, 40C and 400

Fantastic news! Hallberg-Rassy can now offer a carbon furling mast upgrade for the Hallberg-Rassy 400, 40C and 44. So far, this upgrade was only available for the 50, 57 and 69.
Two finishes are available, clear coat or white-painted. For boats in hot climates, we recommend a white mast, as clear coat masts may require repainting sooner.
The boom and spreaders are aluminum, with an optional carbon boom upgrade to carbon in-mast furling. Aluminum booms and spreaders come black-painted with clear coat carbon masts and white-painted with white masts
Just like on larger Hallberg-Rassy models, the bare carbon mast section is significantly lighter than aluminum, providing:
- Reduced heeling and weather helm
- More efficient angle towards the wind
- Less pitching in rough seas
- Less pumping of the mast in choppy seas
- You can sail with more sail area in fresher winds and reef later
- Reduced rolling, when at anchor and downwind in a seaway
- A smoother overall sailing experience
