Open House Weekend

Each year, for the last 18 years, Hallberg-Rassy has hosted an open house for sailing enthusiasts from all over the world. The 2011 event will be held on the weekend of August 26th through 28th. There is no other place in Scandinavia where you will find this many new sailing yachts in the size range 31-64 ft on display in the water and equipment to look at. You are all invited to join us for this interesting weekend. The open house weekend in 2010 was a big success. Around 24 000 people came to the yard to see the boats and the yard. We believe that the open house weekend 2011 will be the same success. Here you can read about what is planned for this event. Record year - 135 yachts in the water
All Hallberg-Rassy yachts will be featured and shown in the water; the 310, 342, 372, 37, 40, 43 Mk II, 48, 54, 62 and a hardtop version of the new flagship, the Hallberg-Rassy 64. Many Hallberg-Rassy yachts will also be shown under construction in the work shop. We have also invited our competitors to join us. The demand to show boats at the Hallberg-Rassy Open House weekend is very strong, so this year we have expanded with extra docks for this weekend. That means that this year will be yet another record year with as many as 131 yachts in the water, of which 22 boats are premieres. Which those 135 boats are, you will find here. And a sketch where which boat will be located is to be found here. The event will be open 10.00-18.00 Friday-Sunday. It will be possible to walk around inside the yard from 15.00 on Friday afternoon. After special appointment, trial sails are possible on Monday the 29th.
86 equipment exhibitors ashore
There will be 86 exhibitors of yacht equipment ashore. They will show engines, sails, rigs, navigation aids and other equipment that may be of interest to you. To mention some: Alandia, Corian, Divinycell, Electrolux, Elvström, Enwa, Furuno, Garmin, Gori, Isotherm, Lewmar, Mastervolt, Raymarine, Roca, Seldén Mast, Sleipner, Spinlock, Webasto, Volvo Penta, Yanmar and many more.

Deborah ShapiroRolf Bjelke and Deborah Shapiro are coming to the Hallberg-Rassy Open House Weekend and will show their well-made and interesting film “Time on ice”, in English from their sailing to Antarctica and over-wintering there.
It is a popular tradition at the Hallberg-Rassy yard to arrange a social Saturday evening with an interesting event during the Open House Weekend. Rolf and Deborah will show their film Saturday 27 August 2011. It will start with a dinner at 19.00 o'clock and the film after that.
As the number of seats to the event are limited and we will also serve a dinner, we request a prepayment of tickets from you. The Saturday night film including dinner costs SEK 180 (roughly 20 Euros) per person. Please give us your Visa, Eurocard or Mastercard number, expiry date, name, address, phone number and your written OK for us charging you the above mentioned amount. For safety reasons we do not want you to email text with facts about your credit card. Please send either a scanned hand written letter or a photo of it to info "at" hallberg-rassy.se or a fax to +46 304 50486. In previous years the event has been fully booked. We therefore recommend you to send your application as soon as possible.
Rolf Bjelke and Deborah Shapiro sail their 40 ft steel ketch “Northen Light”, and as a matter of fact Rolf is an old Hallberg-Rassy friend and has previously sailed a lot with his boat at that time, a Misil I. Read more about that on this link.
