Each year, for the last several years, Hallberg-Rassy has hosted an open house for sailing enthusiasts from all over the world. The 2009 event will be held on the weekend of August 21st through 23rd. There is no other place in Scandinavia where you will find so many new sailing yachts in this size range in the water and equipment to look at. You are all invited to join us for this interesting weekend. The open house weekend in 2008 was a big success. Around 23 000 people came to the yard to see the boats and the yard. We believe that the open house weekend 2009 will be the same success. Here you can read about what is planned for this event. This page will be updated during the year with more information about this weekend which has become so popular.

112 yachts in the water

The Hallberg-Rassys will be featured and shown in the water. There are as many as 112 yachts, mainly sailing yachts, from many different manufacturers in many other countries to see in the water in our harbour. There will also be 90 exhibitors of yacht equipment like engines, sails, rigs, navigation aids and other equipment that may be of interest to you. To mention some: Alandia, Corian, Divinycell, Electrolux, Elvström Sobstad, Enwa, Furuno, Garmin, Isotherm, Lewmar, Mastervolt, Raymarine, Roblon, Roca, Seldén Mast, Sleipner, Spinlock, Webasto, Volvo Penta and many more.

Many Hallberg-Rassy yachts under construction

Between 1000 and 1800 Friday to Sunday all nine Hallberg-Rassy models will be on display in the water, as well as many Hallberg-Rassys under construction. It will be possible to walk around the yard from 1500 on Friday afternoon. After special appointment, trial sails are possible on Monday the 24th.

Saturday night lecture fully booked

Saturday evening 22 August 2009 at 7 o'clock we will have an HR meeting and serve an informal dinner followed by an interesting lecture by Mr Arne Mårtensson about his travel around the world with his Hallberg-Rassy 62 "Yaghan". Because we have many international visitors, the lecture will be held in English. This lecture is however already fully booked. We offer an extra lecture on Sunday, see below.

Sunday lecture still available

Since there is such a strong interest to see this years Open House lecture, there is is an extra speech without dinner available Sunday 23 August 2009 at 12 o'clock. It is the same lecture as the day before, by Mr Arne Mårtensson about his travel around the world with his Hallberg-Rassy 62 "Yaghan". Because we have many international visitors, the lecture will be held in English. Since there are only a limited number of seats also for this lecture, we would ask you to make your reservations in writing together with the participation fee at your earliest convenience. In previous years this event has been fully booked. The fee for the Sunday day lecture (no food served) is 100 SEK per person, (roughly 10 Euros) which can be paid by Visa or Eurocard. Please give us your card number, expiry date, postal address and your OK to charge the above amount. The entrance to see the boats and the yard is free of charge.
